Jared Lee Watney

I have always done things a little differently to others, for example, I started flying helicopters at the age of 16 while at school and went on to be one of the youngest pilots in South Africa to go solo around a controlled airspace.

 

I am now involved in the yachting industry and am currently onboard a 2013 new build Feadship 62m in length. Before the Feadship I had crewed a charter catamaran that has done most of the east African coastline stretching from Cape Town to Northern Kenya and back to Cape Town.

 

I am a people’s person by nature and when dealing with people I am in my element. My strengths are certainly working outdoors and thinking for myself. I work very well under pressure and enjoy keeping busy. Sailing and aviation is in my blood as I have shared both of these passions with my Parents who were both Pilots and lovers of the outdoors.

 

I believe that if you speak to people close to me a characteristic of mine that shines bright is loyalty. I do how ever understand that until you've met me you will not be able to fully grasp the kind of person I am or my work ethic and personally I feel like I am a better in person than on paper anyway.

 

I am ready to keep learning and work HARD.
