Position Held: Deckhand

Job Description

New Build sorting duties, all deck duties, including full operation of anchors, varnishing skills, paint repairs, corking and chart corrections. Tenders using jet drive and inboard outboard engine tenders 8.40 meters in length. All rigging and prepping of fishing rod’s. Chief water sport instructor including SUP’s, wakeboarding, skiing, surfing and more. Looking after kids of all ages. With most of west coast of Norway, Rybovich yard period, Caribbean season, two Atlantic crossings and currently a Mediterranean season under our belt I can say we have worked hard and I feel confident with my work abilities, be it underway, in a yard period or solo on night watch charter shifts.

Dates:  November 2nd 2012 –May 1st  2013

Position Held: Deckhand and duties of higher position.

Job Description:

All deck duties, tender operation and maintenance of outboard engines. All duties including operation of the generator, salt water desalination and full client confrontation as we had a 3 day charter with 10 guests on board while I was in charge. A new East African expedition began. We would be assisting a team of scientists who would be diving over 250 dives. Duties included: operation and maintenance of dive compressor, diesel engine services and maintenance, generator services and maintenance, all deck and interior work, skippering the vessel to collect divers. Solo navigational watches

Water sports instructor

 

Dates: December 1st 2010 – December 30

Job Description: Ran the water sports area of a local resort where I lived. This included driving the tender as well as coaching wakeboarding, skiing, slalom skiing, and taking guests on the tube.

 

Surf instructor

Dates: occasional, all year round January 2011- 2012

Job Description: I was a surf instructor for an international beach backpackers. Whenever clients requested lessons they were sent to me. With a father who has surfed for 50+ years, family on a professional surfing side and myself who has surfed since I was 8, I am more than capable to teach anyone.
